Commercial Description:
This unique seasonal beer offers the warmth of an old English pub to help ward off the chill of a winter’s night. It has its origins in British neighborhood pubs where villagers would gather to shake off the damp cold of the bitter English winter. They’d share a pint or two of winter warmer ale by the fire, catch up on local gossip, and stay inside, where it was warm. We’ve brewed our version in the tradition of those winter ales, with a robust, full-bodied flavor and a tangy hint of spices.

Bottle. Poured a nice chestnut red with a pretty big near brown head. Aroma is pretty milod--rost malts and only a little spice. Taste is burnt caramel malts with a little smoke flavor. Subtle spice. Finish is smooth mild smoke. Not too bad for the first winter beer I’ve had this season.

Pours dark brown color with a light tan head. Very nice sweet toffee malt aroma with some dark fruits. Great roasted complex malt flavors, chocolate, caramel and toffee with a hint of dark fruit. Very easy to drink, easily the best of the winter mix 12-pack.

Had on tap at brewery. Dark maroon color with decent head. Malty flavor with hints of spices. I would drink it again.

12 oz bottle. Pours a rich brown color with ruby highlights. It has a nice tan head that could use a bit more retention but produces nice lacing. Nose is full of nice mellow chocolate notes mixed with a hint of beady yeastiness. Flavor is full of chocolate flavors with a very underlying coffee-ness to it. I also pull just a hint of dark fruit out of it too. Very tasty. It has a nice full mouthfeel and is a little too easy to drink, being 5.9% abv, it can get you into trouble.

Bottle. Pours mahogany red with a soft beige head. Smells malty, creamy, roasted, nutty. Tastes like roasted coffee, some malted grains, sweet, but I dont taste anything to make me think this is a inter brew. No seasonal spices that I expected. Disappointing, but it doesnt taste bad, just not festive.

Bottle from Plano Beverage in Plano, TX. Pours a dark amber with beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, toasty. Flavor is caramel, semi-sweet, nice hop flavor with slight bitter. Has nice creamy full body, med-high carbonation. Pretty good beer.
