Some hop spiciness. Nice balance. Smooth flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is smooth and clean. Aftertaste is sweet with a touch of bitterness. Nice lager, smoother than most. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2007 This beer was brought back by one of the guys in our monthly tasting from his trip to Idaho. This beer is a really clean, refreshing lager that was a little suprising actually. A fresh, citrusy nose almost lemon-like in quality. Appearance was cloudy, really light yellow in color, with an average white head. Flavors were crackers, some really light hops with an overall clean finish. An really tasty lager that would be perfect for a summer day, although a bit out of place on a cold January night. BückDich (4848), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2003 Pours like water, my god this is one of the most unique looking beers in that it doesn't look like anything. The head is present and strong, but the color is just so blah!!! Aroma is grassy with some subtle malt hints, an almost hand lotion presence is there too. This is really nice refreshing new lager for me, I can see all of the flavors and none of the flaws. And just like SAEE_Jam99 said, this does go DAMN well with chili. I used the recipe for chili from Jim Weller's 2000 World Championship Chili cookoff and made it the same night I had this beer. Matches perfectly, nice call from a novice rater. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2003 Pours a gold hue, not much to it. Has a nutty nose with some butter. Flavor is consistent with the nose, add some sourness. A smooth small palate. A unique lager. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 16, 2003 This stuff looks like Boise tap water, or maybe a little closer to the Boise River. Very cloudy and almost clear. But very good, and flavorful. There is something in the flavor that almost tastes medicinal, perhaps a little bit of alchohol showing through, but then there is not that much in it to begin with. Something is in here that I cannot put my finger on. Very smooth, give it a try. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
