Mineral notes mar this Altbier’s caramel and toasted malts, as herbal hops succeed in piercing the watery body.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the amber-hued copper.
-As for every beer they had that day, the loose and somewhat empty mouthfeel was not inspiring at all.
-Dried fruitiness can found throughout.
-Hoppy bitterness is levelled, but unpolished.

Darkish brown, nearly opaque cloudy color topped with a decent quick-dying head; I got little lacing though. Nose is subtly malty with a hint of floral hoppiness. I thought the flavor pretty bold upfront, with some chocolate and almond nuttiness; kind of backs off at the end and the body could be more, but overall a nice effort. The only Stone Coast I picked up on my recent Maine trip, but I’ll try to find more. jerc (3947), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Subtle malt in the aroma with a touch of dry caramel? Similar notes in the flavour. Sweet maltiness but surprisingly dry overall impression. Average palate. This was a bit subtle for this late in the evening but it was quite pleasant nonetheless. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Malt nose with some floral undertones and to me just a hit of cocoa, full body, nice hop presence, but not overly so. Moderate carbonation and somewhat dry finish. Quite a good beer, thanks Venom! Excellent malt backbone of dry roasted nuts with some cocoa notes and fruity taste as well. Crisp and bitter balance adds to its charm. A nice brew that gets better warm.
