egajdzis (2879), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, light butterscotch, toasted dough, and nuts. Taste of much of the same, with earthy yeast, toasted malts, and a bit of citrus in the finish.
JoeMcPhee (3628), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 16, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep amber/light brown colour. A bit of ruby highlights. The aroma is nutty and quite malty. A lot of toast and sweet chewy maltiness. Quite peppery and alcoholic to me, especially as it starts to warm. Strange sticky sweetness as well. Meh, it doesn’t really do it for me. boto (1197), Granby, Connecticut, USA Jul 13, 2008 Draught @ Victory: This one pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma is of caramel malts and a hint of floral. The taste is mainly caramel malts, with some light spiciness. Nicely balanced with hops. Very smooth. This is a very drinkable beer.
