Draught@SOPP ’09. Opaque chalky yellow color, frothy white head. Citric aroma with coriander. Soupy mouthfeel. Medium body, light carbonation. Too bitter for a wit and slightly strange to boot.

Nov 15, 2009 Light yellow colored with hazy appearance. Little white head. Lemony aroma with yeast, handmade beer note here. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also lemony with yeast, still rather one-dimensional.

Oct 22, 2009 Draught @ SOPP, Helsinki. Hazy yellow with creamy pale head. Wheaty nose, hint of coriander spices and orange, clean yeastiness. Dry mellow flavor, hops show nicely, little coriander, wheat, belgian yeast. Light to medium bodied, strongly foaming carbonation.. Pretty basic wit, nothing to write home about.

Aug 29, 2009 (Draught@Sadonkorjuu, Porvoo) Opaque yellow with a smallish, firm and lacy head. Slightly sour, lemony-fruity aroma with some yeastiness. Flavor is also sourish, a bit unclean, lemony, wheaty. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. A not so impressive wit, maybe could use some more spices.

Aug 28, 2009 Draught at SOPP 2009, Helsinki. Hazy yellow color with creamy head. Wheaty and lemony aroma with sulfur. Herbal, grapefruity, wheaty, grainy, lemony and peppery flavor. Long herbal-lemony finish. Nice summer drink. Could be slightly less spiced.

Note, Thursday’s was definitely not as good as Friday’s and Saturday’s. Massive, but gentle, light hop aroma. Big perfumed taste. Lovely light malts. Fruity. Simply the best wit I’ve ever tasted. It has everything. All other wits seem either gutless or silly in comparison.
