JorisPPattyn (4275), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 23, 2004 Dark brown; slim brown head, some lace. Nose as of soaked-up rainwater, roasted malt, tinge of chocolate. Some brown sugar, and probably a bit diacetyl, as I'm getting something buttery. Sweet taste, bit nutty. Nothing else. Medium-bodied, fizzy. Malts fill in the mouthfeel, sugar thins it, taste is empty. Boring as hell. Bottled - so the beer is more than probably from Du Bocq. It fits.

BoBoChamp (635), Gent, Belgium Jul 26, 2008 25cl, from Geers Oostakker, complex, yet easy to drink, clear, good head, good brew MrRomero (1881), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany Jun 18, 2008 25 cl bottle: poured clear light brown with a medium sized light brown head. Dark fruit in the aroma-prunes, raisins, a hint of banana. Nice aroma actually. The taste is fruity with raisins dominating. Fairly dry to me. I thought there would be more sweetness in it. Good beer.
