Spiced and sugary aroma. Complex spicy flavours: cinnamon and pepper on a caramel base.Short finish. Noticeable alcohol. All in all pleasurable, but not great. sayravai (3048), Helsinki, Finland Dec 18, 2007 (Bottled@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Dark brown with a small, mostly fading head. Grainy, dark malt and licorice in the aroma. Roasted-malty, licoricey flavor with some anise, orange-peel and other spices. Medium-bodied, smooth and medium-carbonated palate. Much like Ecaussinnes Ultrabrune, but with added spices. Very nice actually.
