| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Good, just yellowish tinted, irregular head over (cold) hazy, paler orange beer. End of bottle solid yeast. Toasted malts, creamy and tons of white candi sugar. Citrussy aromas and laurel/bay leaf. Strange spicy-fruity esters’ jumble, with a salty impression on the palate. Weird, but certainly not off-putting. Citrus mainly, thinned body again clearly hinting at (white) candi sugar. Some restsugars helping, it gets a candied citrus slice character, even liqueurish. Despite the name, this is a tripel if one ever. A bit of a jumble, as said above, but it is like a homely shack: you know it ought to be tidied up, but you like it just the way it is all the same.
