JoeinUccle (689), Brussels, Belgium Oct 22, 2007 On tap @ Brassigaume fest. Dark brown beer with amber highlights and a beige, lacy head. Malty nose with some dark fruit notes. Sweetish flavor that has herbal, almost medicinal, and fruity esters (cherry and prune). Lively MF and somewhat dry, boozy and vinous. Intense aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Medium sweet and surprisingly light bodied with clean mouthfeel. An aromatic ale with notes of coffee. Surprisingly drinkable for it’s size with low bitterness. The spices are interesting, the clean mouthfeel the drawback.
