I’ve gotta say, I didn’t know what to expect from a bunch of electricians with a dream. As I’d explained to Bob Surgenor, I’d heard numerous times the "financial officer" who attained early retirement and sought the dream only to realize the WORK involved with running a brewery. Anyhow, it appears that Bob is in good hands, has the right attitude and is already on 30 taps in the Comox Valley. This beer, Steam Donkey is actually a Czech Pils and is pretty bang on. Perhaps a tap on the malted side which takes from the crispness but its the best I’ve sampled in a while. Big lasting creamy, almond-coloured head atop a light copper body. Some graham cracker flavour amongst the Saaz hops. Good stuff. Congrats on the successful start. 8/4/8/4/16
