| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 20, 2009 On tap @ Maproom Saturday. Big IIPA! The aroma is intense, strong fresh amarillo hop, you can tell this one is going to have a kick ass bitter hop flavor. The taste is just a suspected, just not too balanced in my opinion. Over done on the bitterness and no much malt backbone. Taste of pine, citrus and fresh hops. A real intense IIPA. Could have let this sit and mellow a bit. But oveall a nice IIPA chicagodri (1057), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Awesome hoppy aroma, with heavy grapefruit and a little bit of pine. Great bitter flavor, hops dominate just the way I like it. Grapefruit and other citrus flavors. Oily mouthfeel. Flavor is lovely citrusy thick hops and a slightly sugary malt backbone. Notes of citrus fruit, citrus zest, candy sugars, crystal malt. Slightly gritty, I imagine due to the barrel conditioning. Finishes dry and earthy. BVery (471), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
