Aug 10, 2007 Can at Chris_o Shindig. Very deep brown/red with beige head. Terrific malts. Really deep, rounded. Tastes stronger. Oxidised port aroma. Good beer, pretty intense. Good hop on end and nice choc.

Can at Chris O’s Shindig. Another goode canned offering from Surly. Darkish brown with a reasonable creamy head. Lots of malt, lots of hops, plenty of fruit, obvious alcohol even at a reasonably restrained abv. Some caramel and a bitter ing finish. No finesse but pretty tasty.

Feb 3, 2007 (Can) Pours a dark mahogany body with a spare off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, and cocoa. Flavor of cocoa, coffee, caramel, and raosted malt with a nicely carbonated mouthfeel and dry finish.
