Pours a nice reddish brown with a bubbly 1 finger head. Aroma of malt, roasted nuts and vanilla. Nice medium bodied mouthfeel with flavors of caramel, malt, nuts, chocolate and rasins. This is a really nice brown ale. Viva Surly! chicagodri (1046), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Deep brown, with crimson light coming through when you hold it up. Medium head, spare lacing. Aroma of earthy and floral hops, sweet grains, nuts, caramel and chocolate malts and coffee. Aroma was of cocoa, and bublegum. Flavor was roasted, chocolate caramel as it warmed good beer. Much more like a porter then a brown ale.
