Jul 16, 2008 Likely my first Brown ale. Served on tap at Ike’s in the Minneapolis airport. Went nice with my steak dinner. Nice caramel taste.

Apr 26, 2009 Can, courtesy of juiceisloose. Pours brown with a slight off-white head that quickly dissipates to the edges. Caramel, toasted nuts, a touch grainy. Medium mouthfeel with a balanced carbonation, finish with a pleasant caramel aftertaste.

Oct 27, 2009 Thanks David for sharing this one, pours deep red with a thick tan head, aroma of grapefruit, pine, lemon, wine and yeast, flavor is mainly bitter, low sweetness, grapefruit peel, medicinic bitterness, complexity is low and does not support the level of bitterness.

Aug 21, 2007 Thanks Brewblackhole for this one! Pours a dark brown color with a nice tan head.Aromas of chocolate,caramel,and cola.Nice hop bite in the front,than the vanilla,coffee and cola like taste took over.Not Bad!

Apr 13, 2008 Can thanks to Tytoanderso. Rich nutty caramel malt, accented with floral hops in the back. Chocolate, cherry, toffee. Creamy texture, tastes like a root beer float at times. Very good for a brown ale. Manages to be flavorful and interesting without going over the top.

May 6, 2009 16oz can via trade at DLD poured into a tulip. pours a dark, chestnut brown with a thick, fluffy vanilla head and great lacing. aroma is very nice with fresh, roasted pistachios, coffee, malted chocolate, and a hint of sugary, citrus hops. flavor was delicious and hoppy up front with notes of citrus, grass, and earth with big roasted, nutty malts following with hints of cinnamon and coffee. mouthfeel was medium bodied, very drinkable if not a bit thin, with solid carbonation. overall, a very solid brown ale.

Aug 31, 2009 16 oz. can acquired via trade with tennisjoel. Dark brown pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts with light vanilla notes and some floral hops. Very good full-flavored roasted malt flavor along with some hints of chocolate, smoke, and coffee. This is probably the best brown ale I have ever had. Whereas I find most of them to be rather dull this is more of a slightly lighter version of a porter. Very nicely done.

Oct 28, 2009 At a tasting, thanks David, small thick head, dark reddish colour with light brownish taints, aromas of tobacco and hints of grassy hops, flavours of nuts, oats and a touch of fruit and soap, strong hoppy bitterness which fades rather quickly and a light sweetness in the back. Strange beer.
