Poured a dark brown-black hue, with a sizable brown head that sticks around. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, roasty malts, wood, and light fruitiness. Taste is different in proportion: a bit of interesting tart sour tucked into darker malts, chocolate, and wood. Finishes dry. Largely, a very enjoyable combination of cranberries and chocolatey oakiness. Cherries sweeten the brew a touch, possibly taking away some of the cranberry. Overall, largely malty and oaky. The fruit adds a special touch, though. Cheers! Ughsmash (4019), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

The aroma picked up an odd blend of cherries and cranberries over chocolate and caramel sweetness.. toasty bourbon emerged with warmth. The flavor found sour oak, cherries, and cranberries laced throughout over a bed of dry, darker chocolates.. the back-end was marred by significant oxidation.. unremarkable finish with more of the aforementioned fruit. Sour and dry on the palate, showing too much age.
