Oct 14, 2007 Dark golden pour white head. White pepper clove and I sware a bit of hops in a saison a little odd, some light grains. Avg pal. Yeasty touch of funk , lemon zest, corriander. Pretty ok.

Oct 12, 2007 Poured a light brown/redish color good head okay lacing. Aroma was mostly coriander and flowers. Flavor was coriander floral hops some fruits in there couldn’t figure out what. Refreshing beer. Nothing amazing.

Oct 12, 2007 Hazy and smells great. Very fizzy, kind of dry. The taste left me somewhat disappointed, I was expecting more coriander flavor. It’s a good beer, but for the price Surly runs, I would rather grab a delirum tremens or something.

Oct 10, 2007 Can (16oz). Shared with blankboy, my can courtesy of Oakbluff. Saison in a can - well why the hell not. Hazy medium-deep amber pour with a large lasting creamy-frothy beige head. Well, smells like a saison - very yeasty, light herbal hops, almost hefeweizen fruit sweetness, I detected a bit of banana bread in there. The taste is solid heavy yeast saison, so much yeast and spice it’s quite pungently bitter, lots of very heavily roasted malt backing it up, and not much fruit - almost a charred linger. Thick body, very astringent with the spice, long raw spice (cinnamon? nutmeg? allspice?) bitter finish. Damn that’s good.

Oct 4, 2007 16 oz. can via trade with franksnbeans - Pours a hazy orange color with a one finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma has lightly spiced esters (banana) and yeast. Flavor is light malt and esters. Palate is watery and slightly bitter. Light to medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Jacob.

Oct 4, 2007 Draft @ Brewery: Gold color, nice head and lacing. Nose of light yeast and spice, woody hops and a light resinous floral overall note. The flavor is bitter and hoppy, plenty of yeast and coriander. Spicy!

Oct 4, 2007 Thanks to Boboski for this brew. Pours orange with a big, billowy head. Lacing is good as well.I get orange and floral in the aroma..maybe a bit of bananna. Fairly spicy and bitter, with a nice bitter finish. Body is light/medium and quite fizzy.

Sep 28, 2007 Glowing orange out of the pint can, with a short lived white head that settled into a thin whisp. Big nose with orange zest, apricot, spices and fresh yeast. Bright orange peel flavors with sharp spices. The apricot is stronger than the peach, and the whole thing is held together by the yeast until it warms, when it gets a little messy. If you like your saisons spicey with a big splash of orange and apricot, this is your can of beer.
