Commercial Description:
Oh great, a fizzy yellow beer in a can, that's just what the craft beer world needs! CynicAle melds Old World ingredients in a new school style. French malted barley, English oats and Belgian yeast create honey and black pepper flavors. Lively Slovenian hops provide the floral, apricot and peach notes. Toss your doubts away, toss one back and enjoy!

16 oz can from Bartzilla via GaltScat, the master of the midwest. Poured a nice golden color. Aroma was malt and spices. Flavor is bitter euro hops and pepper. Holy crap is this stuff peppery. I didn’t detect any peach like the can says, I got hops and pepper. It’s light enough to be a good everyday beer, just a tad too peppery for my taste. Still good, though.

Courtesy of Hopscotch. Copper orange pour, small white head. Aroma is citrus hops, spicy belgian yeast, spice and floral notes. Taste is spicy belgian yeast all the way, honey, loads of hop bitterness with citrus and floral hops flavor. Bitterness is quite high for a saison. Toasted malt, spicy with a touch orange in the background and lingering hop bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel and good carbonation. A different approach at a saison with all the bitterness. Not bad.

#2 in the "my new roomate is awesome b/c she brought me beer from Minnesota" Surly tasting. 16oz can. Clear orange amber with huge (like the bender) creamy white head. Aroma is citrus hop with yeast and spice. Flavor is light sweet, spice, saison yeast, pine hops, light fruit (in type and quanity) , very tasty overall. Med body, and light creamy. I can’t get over how fresh the cynicale and the bender have tasted, like I just had it on tap. What’s better than getting off work and watching the tick and drinking a beer from a can (well now in a glass, but none the less...)?

16oz can, no date. Hazy orange with a 1/2 finger creamy light yellow head that sticks around for a long while. Aroma of bitter grapefruit rinds, citrus hops, white pepper, flower petals and lavender in the back. There is some light fruity peach, banana, and yeast after nosing it a bit more, though the overall impression is not very sweet. Tastes about the same with some earthy and grapefruit rind bitterness that overtakes what sweetness the added caramel and apricot has to offer. Bitterness peaks at a 4-5 (out of 10) and lingers. Spicy peppery earthy dry finish with slight alcohol presence. The caramel was a lot easier to pick up in the aroma as it warmed. Moderate carbonation with a light to medium body. Thought this was a pretty good saison.

Pours a clear light amber. Hints of citrus on the nose. Taste is very crisp with a big, lingering, hop finish.

Can from SkyView. Lightly foggy, gold amber, with a thin white head. Aroma has fruity esters with a light cinnamon, and alcohol, faint caramel, and almost a little lemon zest. Taste citrus, light hoppiness, and sweetness, almost seems like it has fantastic cleaning spray in it, almost like a soapiness also.

Can from Brewso. Nice amber colored body that is hazy towards the middle and borderline clear at the edges. Small, quickly receding white head that turns to a thin film. Spotty, sudsy lacing clings to the glass. The aroma shows strong fruity esters, with banana and apricots being two key players. There’s also a nice floral overtone, with coriander in the background. The flavor profile shows the same, but also includes some yeasty goodness. Medium body that is smooth and easy going. Leaves an effervescent tickle in the back of the throat. Nice beer!
