Very distinctive hit of hop. Very strong flavours, good biting hop on end. Tasty. Dry, hoppy. Harsh. A bit like De Ranke XX Bitter. WallyWalrus (205), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 9, 2007 On tap at Mac’s Industrial Bar. Drew a cloudy amber with a good head. Smell was very crisp and hoppy with some more yeasty and earthy notes. Taste was medium-bodied with initially sweet notes of honey and cream giving way to a spicier, hoppier finish with a very lingering mildly bitter aftertaste. A delightfully unique ale worth your time. jbrus (4872), Delft, Netherlands

Malty, nast bitterness, light herbal. Feels pasteurized and probably is. mcbackus (751), Merritt Island, Florida, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Small offwhite head that,s short lived. Lacing is minimal at best. Hazy yellow orange color. Nose is yeasty, light breadiness, black pepper, light fruit and co2 notes. Body is lightly medium with an effervescent carbonation and an unfortunate astringency. Lightly sweet toasty malts, black pepper and faint fruit notes are all kinda pushed aside by the astringent notes. Finish is dry, peppery, metallic and astringent. Bummer! Props to footbalm for the CAN! Thanks Eric!

Must admit I didn’t get any saison character at all. Seemed like a well brewed IPA to me. Nice fruity piney hops all through. Enjoyed it a lot, just a bit confusing. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

I had a really tough time drinking this one. Couldn’t finish it because it made me want to sneeze. Not reall what I thought a saison should taste like. Can at Chris O’s Shindig. Can’t believe I am drinking a decent beer from a can but decent it is. Golden colour with a reasonable head. Hoppy aroma with plenty of fruit. Malty flavour with plenty of citric hops. Bitter finish. Straight down the line but pretty good.
