Clear gold color with a frothy white head.
Funky Belgian aroma that brings in a big malt presence and some fruitiness.
The flavor is spicy and floral with a dry finish.
Smooth, medium bodied. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours light copper with a decent size off-white head. Aroma of spices, fruit, sweetness, and belgian yeast. The flavor is sweet upfront with a mix of spices, light fruit, and traces of hops in the finish (just enough to balance it out). whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Estery banana and clove aromas plus very prominent, piquant spice. Also has some lemony notes and notable herbal hops. Flavor is estery, semi-dry, bitter and has lightly medicinal phenolics. A little coarse, but interesting and distinct. This grew on me and developed a nice level of enjoyment. Thanks to allendodd for putting this in my cooler at BCTC. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Pours a clear, orangish-ruby red color; white head with decent lacing. Dense, tropical fruits and chewy doughy notes in the aroma; pineapple and sweet fruits. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy doughy and belgian sugar notes; sugary and sweet, but fluffy; vanilla and marshmallow and lightly toasted malts. Lengthy, dry citrus and tropical fruit finish. piscator34 (1134), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Light orange in colour. Aromas of Belgian yeast (bananas, bubblegum, spices), coriander, and a bit of sweet malt. There’s an interesting tension in the mouthfeel between the heft of the oats and the drying created by the yeast and hops. Flavor wise, there’s a bit of a ripe pit fruit note, along with some leafy-grassy hop elements There’s another green spice flavor near the back end that I can’t identify, but that I enjoy. The malts leave a bit of a residual caramel sweetness that gives the beer a bit of a Belgian Pale Ale quality. I’m finding this beer a bit difficult to sum categorize. It seems "mostly" a saison, and yet there’s something missing. I think it has something to do with the residual sweetness of the malts. Whatever you want to call it, it’s still an enjoyable beer to drink. Thanks to mnurda for the sample. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA

Cloudy bright orance color with a small white head. Florally belgian aroma with nectarines and apricots. Hops jump out at you on first taste, then bittering floral flavors follow through. All over the map...but the journey is wonderful.
