Commercial Description:
Oh great, a fizzy yellow beer in a can, that's just what the craft beer world needs! CynicAle melds Old World ingredients in a new school style. French malted barley, English oats and Belgian yeast create honey and black pepper flavors. Lively Slovenian hops provide the floral, apricot and peach notes. Toss your doubts away, toss one back and enjoy!

Why haven’t I rated this one yet??!!! Can, pours a pale orange color with a touch of lively carbonation and a bit of foam. Taste is pale malts, touches of Belgian yeasts and a bit of black pepper spice, also some grassiness in here. Nice addition of the oats, it thickens up the body a bit and gives it some texture. Overall a solid easy drinking session ale.

Can into a pint glass. Pale yellow color with a foamy head. Aroma is of pepper and that smell follows through to the taste along with honey and some fruit I can’t seem to place. This is my first beer of this style but man, what a way to start!

1 pt can courtesy of tyteranderso. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow-gold with a big sudsy white head that had great lacing and good retention. The aroma is more like a Belgian Witbier than a Saison; there is plenty of banana, some peach, white pepper and bread dough. The flavor is very similar to the aroma this a particularly fruity saison with apricots, peaches and banana. There is also a noticeable hop presence along with some peppery spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and light. The finish is medium in duration with lingering apricots. Overall: I really liked this one, a very tasty Saison.

Can via bonus from Scoobydank. Rating #300 of this beer. Pours a clear golden with a thick bubbly off white head. Belgium yeast, malt, honey and apricot on the nose. Apricot is most pronounced on the tongue with a strong yeast compliment. Honey and light bread notes too. Mouth is medium. Nice and refreshing for a sunny afternoon.

16oz can via trade @ DLD ’09. pours a bright, yellow gold with a full, frothy white head. aroma is outstanding with spicy, belgian yeast, black pepper, cloves, lemon zest, candied peaches and sweet apricots. flavor is great as well with citrus, apple, and peppery notes up front backed by sweet notes of honey, belgian yeast, and light biscuity malt. finish is mildly spicy with a touch of floral hops. mouthfeel is crisp, light bodied, and very drinkable. overall, very solid brew and i dig the pint can.

Can with thanks to Skyview. Pours a medium gold with a frothy head and lively carbonation. Aromas have a little funk, a little pepper, a little fruit and grass. Flavor is fairly interesting... and matches the nose fairly well. There is definitely more hops here than most saisons I’ve tried, but I like this better than most saisons I’ve tried, too.

[1936-20090110] 1pt can. Citrus hops aroma has a bit of evergreen. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Nice citrus hops flavour finishes long with spicy evergreen hops. Medium body. Really nice balance of spice and hops.
