16oz can shared by photomike. Lightly hazy gold color with a small head that dissipates completely rather quickly. The aroma has a good amount of yeasty fruitiness that seems more along the lines of an abbey yeast, but also has some pepper, tobacco, leafy hops, and some pale malty sweetness. The flavor is medium sweet with light malt, medium spicy hop flavor with lower bitterness, light fruitiness, and some yeasty spiciness in the back. Lower carbonation with a light body. A pretty unassuming Belgian ale that falls pretty short of a good saison, but remains pretty drinkable.

Saison in a can doesn’t seem right....poured form 16oz., hazy light golden in color, mild aroma. taste was a little fruity, but overall kind of bland. I have my doubts about this.

aroma is subtle peach, bready malts and a touch of yeast. some general spiciness begins to creep in. appearance is very hazy apricoti with wispy head. flavor is peppery with some yeast and good balance of strong breads and some hops with slightly vegetal note. ends bitter with coating mouthfeel, a bit messy.

This poured a slightly cloudy yellow color with a big white head. Aroma was peppery, some belgian spice, bittering hops, light fruit, and some sweetness too. Flavor was very sweet, with balancing from grassy hops, and the belgian spice character. Pretty interesting and different stuff.

Pours a hazy yellow w/ small white head. Aroma of earthy hops, fruity and cereal grains. Great taste...wish I wouldn’t have read the description before I rated it so my rating would be more objective, but the brewery’s description is spot on: peppery notes mixed with apricot & peach. Actually reminds me of a peach flavored chardonnay I’ve had only less sweet. Dry finish, lingering peach on the palate. Only negative would be a bit of an astrigent aftertaste. This is only the second or third Saison I’ve had and this is the best...It really does taste a lot like the others I’ve tried (dry, fruity, yeasty, medium body)...an interesting style of beer.

RBSG 07. On tap at Surly. Lightly hazy gold, small dense white head. Estery, spicy, light colored fruits, little bit of wheat, very light mustiness, crisp graininess, mild tartness, floral and bitter hops on the drier finish. Very easy, could drink it all day. Send cans to FL, please. From notes.
