Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Big fat 16oz can from Ty. Thanks a bunch man. Pours a clean, clear, light ruby amber with a very large tanned beige head. Smells absolutely delicious with a huge crisp pine and honeyed citrus hop smell. Medium body, light sweet malt. Finishes with a huge quinine bitterness. Very tasty. Shame these cans don’t make it to NY without the help of a trade box.

Big hearty thanks to MrBunn on this one. Aroma is all grapefruit...all the way.Pours a dark amber with a very nice head and lace. That said however, the flavor didn’t blow my socks off. Not in a bad way, but I just expected a more powerful bitter here. Some good malty characteristics, some floral and pine notes, but pulls through a little weak.Finish is bitter and a touch metallic at the back of the throat. All together its still damn drinkable...That smell is fantastic.

From tap. Wow. I don’t know if its the hoppiest beer I have ever tried, but I have never had a beer where the hops come through so powerfully. Also - the sourness you sometimes get from very hoppy beers was very present here. I’m not saying I didn’t like this beer, but there have been so many IPAs I’ve tried that I like more. I think I need a little more balance from alcohol or sweetness, or something. Definitely worth trying.

Thanks to Tytoanderso for this sweet bonus. Pours a deep amber orange with thick off-white head. Aroma of mostly citrus with slight floral hops, pine, and grass. Flavor is surprisingly complex, but didn’t quite have the hops bite I was expecting. Not a bad thing though, because this is really one very great IPA. Definitely gonna be trying to get my hands on this again.

Pours clear orange amber with a lacy ring of foam. Grapefruit and sweet goodness in the aroma. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Toffee nut and citrus taste with a dry bitter finish.

can poured an amber color with a thick foamy off white head that retained well. aroma has beautiful hop character with citrus, bitter and sweetness. has that sweet juicy fruit thing. mouth feel is medium with plenty of carbonation. flavor has more malt coming through, nice citrus, lightly bitter resins, and hefty sweetness. nicely balanced out proving strong flavors while still being easy to drink.

Can, 16 fl. oz. Pours a brown beer with offwhite head. The aroma is hops (citrus and some orange), with slight notes of peach. The flavor is likewise hoppy with fruits. The palate is pleasant bitterness, and this is overall a good IPA.

16oz can via trade at DLD. pours a beautiful, slightly dark ruby/copper with a perfect half inch vanilla white head and great lacing through the whole glass. aroma is wonderful with bold, sweet hops, grapefruit, pineapple juice, some spicy pine, grass clippings, and just a touch of toasty malt. flavor is delicious as well with spicy, bitter hops up front with notes of pine, orange, and grapefruit perfectly balanced by slightly sweet, biscuity malts and a hint of caramel with a long, bittersweet hoppy finish. mouthfeel is almost creamy, smooth, with solid carbonation and very easy to drink. overall, a wonderful IPA.
