Surly Furious

can. nice carbonation with a dirty yellow tinged head. wonderful caramel color, flavor is resinous and bitter, slick on the palate. butterness is shortlived, a playful tease. hard to believe something at 99 IBUs can be called ’smooth’, but this is...or maybe im just jaded. very sessionable, largely due to its excellent balance. all that hype about the malt.....it aint hype.

Poured from a can. Delightful floral, hoppy aroma. Serious hop kick. Outstanding beer.

Pours amber with a foamy white head. Heavy on the carbonation. Aroma was of hops, citrus, and earthiness. Taste was of hops and oranges, with caramel malt and grass. Starts off extremely bitter, but ends with a sweet lingering citrus taste. Goddamn, this is a good one.

Can from Mashmaster, thanks! Dark amber color. Oily hops and pineapple in the aroma. Piney and oily hops, challenged by tangerine and loads of pineapple. Long aftertaste. Excellent!

Can from wisconsinbeer...thanks a million! Pours a nice reddish amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is delicious! Citrus, pine, and malt. Flavor is so damn good. Sweet, hoppy, thick, and smooth. Citrus and piney hops hit you with a rush of matls. This is one fine IPA. World class.

Can thanks To G-money! Poured hazy amber color with little white head. Aroma was awesome, Floral hops, citrus, and pine. Taste was similar with great texture and very smooth. Balanced very well and could be an everyday beer easily.

I love Furious. Such great flavors of hops. Fruity and citrus with hints of pine. Nice and chewy, great body and is so smooth. Balanced and very drinkable.

Draught at GABF 2008. Hazy amber coloured with a small off white head. Spicy and hoppy aroma of pine needles and grass. Fruity flavour of hops and pine needles with notes of rgass. Hoppy finish.
