Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

On Tap @ Binny’s South Loop. Really enjoyable. Pour quite a dark amber glowing color, almost brown. Head is creamy and light tan in color, lots of beutiful lace. Malty, grapefruit, caramel, toffee, lots of piney hops, bitter, citrus, and very well balanced. Slightly earthy and a nice creamy mouthfeel. Very good, enjoyed every moment of this wouderfully crafted beer.

16 oz. can - thanks to biegman for the trade; pours dark amber with spotty white head; slight haze throughout; a rich, malty beast w/ bitter, dank citrus aromas; rich and creamy with a ton of body; hops are muted (in a good way) with the thick, juicy malts; a great IPA

I’ve had draft and out of the pounder cans. This is a good looking beer with good hop taste. Has some body to it. For the price, its a good find.

A Mes rate: Can at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting
Glorious stuff. Golden amber looks with a good off white head. Massive pine and spruce hoppage. Good earthy malt backbone. A lick of sweetness. All I could ask for from an American IPA. Great stuff.

Can sampled at BCTC 2008. Pours a clear orange amber with a bubbly white head. Aroma of pine and earth, actually very reminiscent of a christmas tree. Flavor is spot on from the aroma with lots of piney hops and earth notes with some caramel malt moving into the mix as well. This was one fantastic beer and to think that it was moving from warm to hot when I finally tried it makes me wonder how awesome it will be served cold to cool.

Clear amber with medium white head. Sweet and hoppy aroma with caramel and hoppy notes. Flavor likewise. Ends bitter.
