Aroma of flowery hops, citrus and tropical fruits. Juicy bitter citrusy flavor with some piney notes and a bit of balancing maltiness. Mouthfeel is a bit watery. A good refreshing IPA. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Can. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Hoppy body with pine and grapefruit notes. Mild citrus, grass and some caramel notes. Grass notes and a solid hop finish. Good brew. Jabswitch (207), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Deep, deep amber. Pine aroma. Filmy long lasting head. Much darker than most IPA. The aroma reminded me of Bell’s Two Hearted Ale which I consider the benchmark of IPA’s that I like. This was smoother than Two Hearted and maybe a little thicker. Not quite the citrus or IBU kick that I found with Bell’s. Nontheless, a great beer. beernbourbon (263), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 22, 2009 Can thanks to MatSciGuy. Pour is almost clear deep copper with a smallish off-white head. Aroma...ahh the aroma. Straight hop resin and loads of citrus. Grapefruit, melon, peach, and nectarine. Damn that smells good. Flavor is so much more balanced than I expected. Wonderful citrus hops up front with the flavors true to nose and just amazing. There is a malt backbone that keeps this so well balanced. It’s huge, but not rough in any way. This may be my favorite IPA. So good. BgThang (118), Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2009 This was a good ipa. Definitely drink this one fresh. Its an IPA in a can whats wrong with that. I always seem to get these as extras in trades which I pass off to other people as extras in trades as well. Not that I do not like it I do . Just so many of them they need to be drank fresh. sfhodense (554), Odense NØ, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Dark gold, strong white head, sticky lacing. Dense earthy malt backbone is apparent, though the tropical gummy aroma from the sticky hops comes through more. Probably influenced from the can. Kudos. So clean and refreshing! A strong hoppy IPA you can gulp. Crystal hops? stand out and keep everything dark and shadowy. This is how I want a beer balanced, drinkable and enjoyable with intense flavors. elihapa (1051), Honolulu, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2009 9/28/09 notes: poured at GABF, sampled both Thursday and Saturday. Because it is delicious. Pours amber with a surprising amount of brown coloration. Head is cream white. Aroma has a strawberry-piney aroma, with a dash of citrus. Palate is a success of creamy-crisp contrast, which works well with the flavors. I got a tart-bitter blend of strawberries and pine, always flirting but never actually perceived as sweet. Finish has refreshing bitterness. I great IPA, balanced, bitter, and interesting.
