This was the first one I opened. Can poured an impressively dark reddish-orange with a thin whitish head. Nice fruity-hop nose on there, with grapefruit and passion fruit, with some pine backdrop. After the big hoppy nose the flavor was refreshingly subdued, only lightly sweet but fruity and moderately bitter... Pretty refreshing, good balance, with nothing sticking out too much. Just tasted good. Both flavorful and resfreshing, so it’s right up my alley. Taverner (837), San Ramon, California, USA

Pours a hazy copper with minimal head. Flavor has notes of banana, as well as grassy hops. Somewhat spicy and piney - but not overly so. A good IPA - still strange to think this came in a can though. FRESH: This stuff is even more amazing! Bumping this up a notch, as it has some nice dank notes in it. BOLTZ7555 (1075), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2008 Damn...nice pine and citrus nose and a burnt orange body that bordered on blood red. Very small head and minimal lacing. Flavor, unfortunately, is all hops...completely one-dimensional bitterness with nothing to balance it out. Better as it warms...aggressive is an understatement with this one!!! dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Vibrant, with ozone. Mild amber clear with off-white to tan lacing head. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Bitter beer with tons of hops. Light sweet malt, but mostly lots of bitter. A bit harsh in the finish, but not too bad. santos999 (318), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells deliciously hoppy with fruity, floral and herbal notes. Grassy, clean, smooth taste. Flowery and grapefruit notes. A tasty hoppy beer. I think I overdosed on hops. Not subtle at all. Silphium (2124), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2008 On tap at the Dock Cafe in Stillwater, MN. Another beer rating succumbed to the usually helpful text message cleanup on my cell phone. This was a strong IPA, with the hops kick of a Double IPA but apparently not the alcohol content. Big, fresh, rindy, grapefruity hops blasted through the creamy, soft, bready, somewhat sweet malt backbone. Lingering bitter finish.
