Perfect pour: dark brownish red, big carbonated sparkling white head, and tons of dry, cotton-like lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty, but coated with citrus. Semi-sweet chocolate notes, too. Pine is masked by an overall balance. Hops hit the tongue first, and the malty body takes over soon after. A harmony of pine, citrus, mango, caramel, and vanilla. Medium-bodied. Sticky and refreshing. Easy to drink and extremely balanced. TPaliga (212), Munster, Indiana, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Pours a bright hazy amber color with a big, thick two-finger head that hangs around for quite a while. Lacing is excellent. Smell is dominated by big floral and citrus hops dominated by grapefruit and lemon zest. Balanced out with a nice underlying malty sweetness. As in the smell, huge citrus hops up front balanced out by a bready malt flavor. Sweet caramel taste gives way to a piney hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel coats the mouth in hoppy goodness but still stings the tongue with bitterness. Medium body with solid carbonation. This is one of the better IPAs I’ve tasted and would make this a staple in my fridge if I had access to it. Big and hoppy but with a nice malty balance, this one is quite nice. fiver29 (713), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Can pours a hazy dark amber/red color with a thick off white head. Has a sweet caramel pine smell. It blends together nicely. Has a medium mouthfeel. Tastes like sweet caramel candy, pine, and has a nice sticky hop aftertaste. Overall I really like this beer and would have it on hand for trips all the time because of the can. gunnfryd (3571), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Can, from trade with akevitt. It pours a brownish golden body, unclear, with a quite small off-white head. Hoppy nose, rather intense, borderline catpee, as well as sweetish. Nice though. Really heavy on the malty flavors, still there’s enough hops to give it a citrusy, resiny flavor. Quite intense flavor, good, but a bit too much of everything in a strange way, I usually really enjoy that. Full body, and an astringently bitter finish lasting for a good while. Nice beer, but as mentioned, a bit too much. (080305) Lothore (276), California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- Pours a deep reddish brown with a 2 finger head that sticks around for quite a while and leaves a huge amount of lacing.
S- Smells consists of sweet piney hops, orange, citrus, and underlying hints of pear.
T- Taste is citrusy and acidic with a bitter hoppiness at the end. Small hints of pine.
M- Mouthfeel is actually a bit watery but extremely crisp.
D- This is highly drinkable, the fact that its creamy and slightly watery makes it go down easy with the crispness leaving you wanting more.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Pours copper reddish/orange with a fine head. The scotch malt is easily identified in the aroma and flavor. Piney and pretty bitter, dry. Sticky body, with soda like carbonation. Reminds me of Moylan’s Hopsickle.
