IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Mar 21, 2008 Medium golden unfiltered pour. Nice citrus and floral aroma. Very bitter taste but didn’t have the bitter bite. Very nice and crisp IPA. Would buy again. amishcaravan (237), Winona, Minnesota, USA Mar 21, 2008 very hoppy taste. a hoppy scent with floral overtones. finish is very smooth. A very good ipa. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Mar 21, 2008 Can: Amber/copper in color with a soapy off-white head. The nose shows lots of citric (especially grapefruit) hops with just a touch of balancing sweet toffee/caramel toward the back. In the mouth it is well-balanced and shows tons of dry and bitter piney/herbal hops vs. the mainly citric hops the nose showed. This one gets bonus points for packing in so many hops at a "lower" alcohol. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Mar 19, 2008 Can from Eben. Thanks dude. This might just be one of my favorites... Amber color with great head, amazing lacing. Aroma is freaking amazing grapefruit and pine straight to the face. I almost can’t get over the aroma... Maybe I am fiending for more? Super bitter grapefruit and pine. Amazingly fruity too. A touch of toast. Creamy smooth mouth feel with a lingering resin coating in the mouth. One of the best IPA’s I have ever had! Check that; to me this might just be the best IPA I have ever enjoyed. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Mar 17, 2008 can. mahogony/cranberry coloring. thin but frothy off white head. Big rich caramel, fresh hops, wet paper aroma. similar to a barley wine in fact. creamy, nicely hopped, big malt backing. bitter finish. light and big at the same time. very nice. Gurst (338), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Mar 16, 2008 Nice amber brown color. Smells like fire, tastes like burning. Good burning? I don’t know. Spicy hops and bitter hops jump for joy like firebugs with matches. Alcohol apparent, adds to the intensity. Almost intensely smooth, like ash coating burned out wreckage. explosivebeer (36), Washington, USA Mar 10, 2008 This beer pours a hazy, mild brown with a soft white head. A great caramelly hop aroma is followed by a slightly bitter, creamy taste when it hits your lips. It finishes with both sweet and sour notes and leaves a great aftertaste in your mouth. It’s definitely among the best canned beers I’ve ever had. sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Mar 7, 2008 Tasted 2/25/08. 1PT Can. Fairly clear with an amber hue. Fingerwidth of khaki head. Skunky hoppy aromas with a note of blueberries. Total piney nose. Grassy and citrus. As weird as it sounds, it reminds me of the mosquito fogger that would drive through my neighborhood as a child. Hmm... Medium bodied and big. Great medium roasted malts. Toasty. Great hop palate. Spicy and piney. Grapefruity. The description on the can is spot on. Totally bitter hops but the sticky caramel malts hold on for the ride. Totally hop driven and blended. Rolling hop palate. This one sticks with you.
