Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Bottled. Thx Marsiblursi. Redish colour, average sized head. Lots of grapey, piney hops in aroma along with black tea, with solid malts backing it up. Caramelly, toffeeish maltiness is sensed, but most dominant are the hops here, with grapes and mandarines. Bitterness comes early and is pretty edgy, salty. Spiderweb bitterness. Pretty light odied at this abv-level, would gain from more maltiness in body. Long, long bitterness.

(Can, thanks oslo2116 and Guerde) Pours a beautiful deep red. Off white head. Fat citric hop aroma with grapefruit up front. Also some resin, fruity black tea and some floral notes. Some tropical tones of mango and starfruit. Toasted malt with cookie dough and caramel tones. Hints of glue and rubber sole. Grapefruit flavour with a slim malt backbone of light caramel and cookies. Some subtle fruit tones. Soft and round mouthfeel. Full lingering grapfruity and resiny bitterness. A very good, rather standard-ish IPA.

Can tasted at Saarlander’s SoCal tasting with saarlander, cquiroga, dirty_martini & kittiesandbeer, JohnC and others. Full 1-2" head of varing bubble sizes, that fades at a medium rate. Fun and interesting raw hop aroma. A nice little source bitterness covers the tongue.

Can. A amber beer with a big tan head. The aroma is light caramel malt, pine, hops, so is the taste, almost harsh from the heavy hopping, but I´m a hophead, so ít´s ok. Medium body with a bitter, very dry hoppy finish. Maybe the best can beer I have ever had.

Rich red amber with a light tan head, relatively dense, thinning via popping largish bubbles. Grassy floral hops with a light fruity, toasty malty sweetness. Lively with a bit of chocolate? Full creamy mouth, average carbonation. Smooth. Big grassy peppery slightly piney hops. rich full sweet fruity malt. A touch of toast and caramel. Lingering floral to piney hop bitterness. Creamy, big ass hoppy beer.

Very strong IPA with some smooth malt sweetness, drinks easy. Smells and tastes like pine needles which can be overpowering to unexperienced beer drinkers. 4pack cans runs about $9 but worth trying.

Had it on tap at Surly Brewery! The beer has a copper color and it is intensely hoppy! The citrus hops are dominate in the bouquet of hops that they used. Was very drinkable considering the intensity of the hops!

Sampled at Chris_o’s shindig: great grapefruit and pine hoppiness; somewhat thick, chewy and underattenuated, but quite bitter finish; lingering and overly sharp.
