Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Can via trade with mreusch. Incredibly darker than I was expecting. Burnt copper color with an ivory head. Big, citrusy hop aroma- short of lemony with a "toned down" grapefruit note. Grassy hop flavors. Sweetish caramel maltiness and More grapefruit and citrus hop notes in the flavor. Grainy, caramel malt flavors. I’d consider this a very "outside-the-box" IPA but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it. A very well made beer.

Big thanks to mashmaster for that can. Looks not spectacular, the beer in the glass a bit darker than exspected, nice small head. Very hoppy-flowery aroma. Beer starts hoppy-fresh, flowery grasy. Very complex hoppy notes, not too dry. Modest bitter in the background. Also a bit fruity. Well balanced finish, very drinkable. A great beer!

Clear, medium copper colored, liquid. A little more than a finger of light tan foam for a head. Retention is really good and lacing is thick and in a solid ring. Really a great looking brew. Hops. Big pine hops. Lush tropical/citrus hops. Just overflowing with the floral bouquet of hops. A very light hint of caramel malts. Smells completely out of balance. I’m shocked. It tastes like hops. This is such a harsh hops bitterness. I can tell that there are some caramel malt notes in there, but just when they come forward, the hops leapfrog right over them and attack your pallette. This is way too far out of balance, for me. The mouth is crisp and sharp with a slight touch of creaminess. If you love hops, this is definitely one to search for. Like you didn’t know that, already, though. If you haven’t had it, get it. The very definition of the term ’hop-bomb’. If you don’t absolutely love hops, this is probably not for you.

16 oz can thanks to Vince. Pours a hazy copper with a small dense off white head that sticks to the sides of the glass. Aroma is pine resin, citrus and caramel. The flavor is sweet caramel malt that fades to a long bitter finish. Mouth feel is very nice, the soft carbonation makes this very smooth. Great drinkability, do these come in 12 packs??? Overall a great IPA and thanks again Vince for this bonus in our trade.

Tap at Bavarian Lodge. Pours murky brown with foamy beige head. Strong fruity/citrus hops on top of a slight malt character. Very good and refreshing (in moderation).

can, pours amber with a medium light tan head. Aroma is strong pine, with lots of cascade notes. Nice sweet toasted nut body that is balanced with a nice hop bitterness that is like pine resin and grapefruit. Really nice IPA.

Compliments of Hophead22. Pours a golden orange color with small lacey head. Aroma of sweet malty hops and some vegetable. Taste is more malty than hoppy with a medium pallet and a dry finish. Not too bad, not sure if the can I got was not very fresh but it was just ok.
