Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Thanks to beerbelly, I mean hellbilly I have reached another milestone in my lifelong obsession to score 10K beers before I die. This beer I chose for a reason. It comes in a can. I drank it from the can. I have no idea what it looks like or if it has a gorgeous lasting head or not. I can however smell it and it does smell of the IPA style. I drink from the can and I enjoy it. I do however think this beer is highly over rated. Considering th abv, balance, overall complexity and finish I have come to a determination that it is average. But, it’s one of the best canned beers I’ve ever had. Thanks Josh.

Can shared at Hampton Inn Tastings DLD. Pours a red amber color with a small head. Nose of citrus hops and little else. Citrus fruit flavors, a little piney and tannic. Dries out in the finish. Decent beer. 7/4/7/4/15 = 3.7

Tea bagged version. Amber in color with a thin head. Great hoppy aromas. Grapefruit, pine, florals. Bitter citrus, florals, with light pale malts. Bitter and drinkable. Really tasty, but it appears my rating is the same. 8/3/7/4/15 = 3.7

Had from a pint can into a glass during a homebrew party. Very nice IPA that is helping prove that cans work!

Courtesy Quake1028. Hazy amber. Small, off white layer of foam. Spicy, citrusy, resiny hops with some nice pale malt support. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Good IPA.

Can. Aroma grassy, citrusy, grapefruity, with ample sweet malt behind. Flavor the same, lots of both the sweet malt and the grassy hop character with citrus in there as well, very dry-feeling hops, not very oily/resiny. Very good, though the combined components of heavy grass and big, sweet malt were somehow just a bit off for me. 7-4-7-4-14/3.6

Rerate from tap at ACBF. Aroma of grass, grapefruit, mango, awesomeness. Flavor continues on the tropical path with high bitterness and fluffy, sweet malt. Very good.

16 oz. can - thanks to biegman for the trade; pours dark amber with spotty white head; slight haze throughout; a rich, malty beast w/ bitter, dank citrus aromas; rich and creamy with a ton of body; hops are muted (in a good way) with the thick, juicy malts; a great IPA

16 oz can. Nice notes of apricot, peaches and pine on the nose. Excellent head retention. Highly carbonated. Very clean crisp and dry on the palate. Nice amount of hops balanced nicely by a hit of maltiness. Excellent IPA.
