Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Big fat 16oz can from Ty. Thanks a bunch man. Pours a clean, clear, light ruby amber with a very large tanned beige head. Smells absolutely delicious with a huge crisp pine and honeyed citrus hop smell. Medium body, light sweet malt. Finishes with a huge quinine bitterness. Very tasty. Shame these cans don’t make it to NY without the help of a trade box.

Thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Murky/hazy amber with a small off white head. Aroma: Nice hop start with a toasty wood/pine element, floral and malty. Interesting. Flavour: Lovely sweet/bitter hop flavour with pine, malt, grapefruit, quite chewy, nice long hop finish. Lovely.

Dark gold, strong white head, sticky lacing. Dense earthy malt backbone is apparent, though the tropical gummy aroma from the sticky hops comes through more. Probably influenced from the can. Kudos. So clean and refreshing! A strong hoppy IPA you can gulp. Crystal hops? stand out and keep everything dark and shadowy. This is how I want a beer balanced, drinkable and enjoyable with intense flavors.

#3 and the last in the roommate is awesome and bought me surly tasting. 16oz can. Billowing, large beige head sits on a dark brown/red body. Aroma is a huge amount of hops, pine and citrus in origin, carmel, light roasted malt, pleasant light fruits, caramel, a little nutty. Flavor is a lot of pine hops, but with a pretty strong malt background, orange, and other light citrus fruit, some caramel, though the hops overpower everything else. Big bodied and creamy. Again very fresh and appealing,

Can, thanks to footbalm. Amber/copper, with a tan head. Aromas are citrusy hops, and some brown sugar. Flavors are hops, malt, and caramel.

Crazy that this came from a can. Pours a darker orange colour with a small offwhite head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet pink grapefruit but then some pine sap in the finish. The flavour is similar with sweeter, citrus hops at first and then finishing with some stronger bitterness. Good malt backbone keeps this well balanced. Near the top end of IPAs.

Beer pours an attractive amber color with a big totally retained off white head. Heavy lacing with this one. Aroma is big hoppy, very fresh hop aroma with nice juiciness. A little cereal aroma also. Flavor is straightforward hoppy goodness, though just a bit of a let down relative to the aroma. Hoppy goodness none the less. Palate is smooth and oily.

This one poured a darker amber color with a somewhat small off white head. Aroma was lots of fresh floral and fruity citrus hops, a bit sweet as well. Flavor was a huge burst of citrus flavor, then a nice smooth caramel balance, followed byh a long lasting but not too bitter finish. This is some damn good stuff!!!
