Dark amber-copper with a bit of lasting white head, not really much lacing....huge pungently hoppy aroma, quite fresh and leafy with touches of citrus....thick, rich, lightly sweet and again enormously hoppy on the tongue, lots of fresh rough hop oils, faint dry woody/twiggy touches, a bit syrupy towards the finish with lots of submerged dry herbs, moderately to strongly carbonated. Not blown away by this as some have been but there is certainly some distinction as in all of this brewery’s beers that I’ve tried. bhensonb (4360), Woodland, California, USA

Slightly hazy copper ale with a 3-finger beige head. Very hoppy aroma. Underlying caramel. Medium body with average carbonation. The flavor is both citrus and resin. Wow! Also seems floral. Malt? Probably. WGAS. This is a hop bomb from the old NorthWest. Woot. Yea. Moving to Minnesota. The ale lives up to its reputation. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

Lots of grapefruit and toffee in the aroma. The aroma is massive and fresh. The taste has some very nice grapefruit rind and some slightly burnt toast crust. The finish is bitter and clean. Nicely done. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Can at DL day: Deep amber with coppery hues, small tight head and lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and piney hops, grapefruit esters, herbal and grainy malts, some clove like spice and a dusty and metallic vapor. The taste is pretty much in line with the nose, moderate bitterness hops, fruity acidity and bready malts with an metallic finish. Aggressive and brash mouth feel, refreshing break to the many big beers of the day. I would gladly take this canned beer to the park any day. cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Poured a hazy copper color with a thin off-white head. Big fresh hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and pine. Caramel malt gives a backbone underneath. The flavor was hop forward. Hoppy grapefruit flesh and rind. Semi-dry finish. The bitterness at the end kept ramping up along the long finish. Skyview (4076), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Fresh from the brewery via growler in less than three hours. Normally I don’t care for very hoppy IPA’s, but wow! This one is hoppier than a dozen kangaroos in the middle of the hottest iron frying pan. Fresh out of the growler, it screams “pine” with a little citrus. A very thick copper and tan head. The bubbles in the head needs a pin to break them. The flavor is most excellent with hops as the dominate feature. There is some nice sweetness and bitterness, but an excellent IPA to help you forget how bad your favorite football team has performed last season, and realize that not everything in the world is all that bad afterall. Again, most Excellent. Use a tulip glass to get the best aroma and flavor. Food pairing? Not needed! Furious is meal all by itself. PROSIT! Ughsmash (4072), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Can, courtesy of Skyview! Poured a fiery, very autumnal shade of reddish-orange with a tall, sticky cap of beige head. The aroma was quite delightful.. caramel, toffee, and candied apricots sprouting and array of light fruity, floral, and pine hoppage. Flavor didn’t skip a beat.. beginning with bitter apricot and grapefruit.. followed by the sweet caramel and toffee base.. ending on more vibrant fruity and piney bitterness. Long, darker bitter finish. Medium-bodied on the palate with a syrupy foray.. high and well-presented bitterness throughout. This was crafted beautifully, and was just what I was looking for.
