Plus, the can is awesome. daknole (3027), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Pours a nice reddish amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is delicious! Citrus, pine, and malt. Flavor is so damn good. Sweet, hoppy, thick, and smooth. Citrus and piney hops hit you with a rush of matls. This is one fine IPA. World class. DalzAle (511), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Poured a nice hazy orange color into a frosty pint glass with no head. Aroma was incredibly hoppy and slightly citrusy and pulled me right in. Flavor was woody and assaults the palate with hops. One of my personal favorite IPA’s. guerinfbfan (50), Elmwood Park, Illinois, USA

Tastes included malts, citrus, and pine. Good mix of the three. Very hoppy, and a very good brew! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 4, 2007 Can from IrishBoy (thanks, richard) - medium amber pour, with a lasting, frothy, eggshell white head - agressive, piney hop bite in the aroma, with some earthy, herbal qualities - I’ve never tasted this kind of malt in anything other than a scottish ale, and it’s flavor really works well with the dry, hoppy, grassy character - sure, it winds up tasting like a super-hoppy scottish ale, but what’s wrong with that? - toasty, dry, biscuity notes and a hint of woodiness - this is some quality stuff. Spicy and sweet hops with orange rind and lemon zest. Backed by substantial sweet red malt. For such high hops this is very drinkable and the finish is just dry enough to make it end clean. This is a major sight for sore eyes around town. When I first arrived I was excited to see Summit EPA everywhere. Lets hope the EPA paves the way for Surly and Furious to take up residence around town. I get excited just knowing that I could get this in a 5 gallon keg!
Re-Rate May ’07: Enjoying from a tall boy can. I’ve never had a bottled or canned beer with hops as bright as this. Usually you see this on tap. Man its just fresh and sweet and alive Kinz (2215), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Big thanks to Secret Santa! Deep, very slightly hazy amber, decent head fades to a thin sheen. Aroma is big grapefruit hops, pine, and caramel accented malt. Flavor is an explosion of hops, big grapefruit and pine with some spiciness underpinning it all. Rich caramel malts support the whole thing. Flavors linger in the mouth long after it is done. This is an exceptionally well made beer. Superb stuff.
