Commercial Description:
Like Hops? You'll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it's about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Zesty hops burst forth from the can. Oranges and pine are carried over a reddish amber, fairly flat ale. The hops are the shop here…lots of dusty dry bitterness. Lemon zinger is fairly prominent with a delicious puckering citrus at the swallow. The sweet malt gives enough of a platform to make this a delicious quaffer - not overly sweet or alcoholic. This is quite a pleasant hop bomb - and easy to quaff. Thanks Jeff.

Thanks to hellomynameis for a very nice IPA. This is the second IPA I’ve had which was packaged in a can. Both have been very good. It pours a nice dark amber color with a frothy head. the flavor is nice and hoppy with some malty backbone. Very enjoyable..

Poured a hazy copper color with a thin off-white head. Big fresh hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and pine. Caramel malt gives a backbone underneath. The flavor was hop forward. Hoppy grapefruit flesh and rind. Semi-dry finish. The bitterness at the end kept ramping up along the long finish.

This IPA rocked! An amber color with a moderate head. The aroma is full of perfume and spice. I also sniff out some pears and oranges. The flavor is quite bitter on this one. I taste some lemons, orange peel, and vanilla. The finish is rather bitter. A well balanced and excellent beer!

Medium sized tan head with good retention and a sweet coating lace that lasts. Clear copper/amber colored brew. Nose is plentiful with juicey, citrusy hops, light pine and a light malty sweetness. Body is medium, coating on the palate, invitingly resiny and just a tad chewy, me like it! Plenty of hoppy goodness, fruity, citrusy and bit piney also. The crystal malts are well balanced with all the hoppy goodness. Mildly sweet and a bit bready, doughy. Finish is lightly sweet, hoppy as hell with a big ole hop bite to conclude this ride. For some reson i taste a little Arrogance here, hmmm. One swell IPA, indeed. Thanks to Robert @ ststelineliquors for this bad boy. Much appreciated!! Man i,ts great to be a lover of the Pale Strong!

Thanks to Skyview I finally got to try it. Dark pour with big off-white head. HOPS, my oh my are there hops on the nose. Pine is all over this nose. Big orange peel flavor up front that is well balanced with a hint of roasty malt. Medium body that coats the palate with hops, finish as expected is hoppy that just leads to the next sip!

Can, 6.2%. Thanks, yespr. Powerful hop aroma, very nice, fat, teaish and caramelly. Almost clear dark brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is quite bitter, turning into a good hop flavour and then back to bitter. The bitterness is clean and pleasant and the hop flavour quite teaish. Good maltiness to balance the hops.
