Jan 14, 2008 (Can 47,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Slightly hazy, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Very fresh and piney aroma. Medium body with light caramel accents and otherwise completely dominated by the very dry, piney aroma hoppiness. Distinctly bitter finish. Excellent, but in style very far from an Oktoberfest! If this was served in the beer halls of Munich, the poor local beerdrinkers would never what hit them... 110108

Jan 13, 2008 Bottle. [Great two day tasting session @ Papsoe] Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, citrus, fruit, caramel. Over the palate moderated floral and grapefruit notes. Moderated bitter flavor with counter sweetness. Dry and bitter floral finish.

Jan 12, 2008 47.5 cL can. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Aroma is slight spiced, solid floral hoppy aroma. Flavour is medium sweet and solid fruity towards fresh fruity hoppy. Ends very fresh fruity. Nice ipa by all means, but this ha very little to do with a classic Octoberfestbier.

Jan 6, 2008 Thanks skyview. The aroma is very nice. Hoppy fest smells. Grains, bready caramel, and tons of hops. The beer pours to a pale amber body. The flavor is grains, breads, o-fest flavors. Very nice and quite hoppy. I thought this was a great beer.

Jan 5, 2008 Semi hazed and amber orange in color with grey webs spanning the top. Aroma is indeed hoppy, with grapefruit and starfruit aiding the citric shine, then reveling in toasted Munich malt, wheat bran, tangerines and livid caramelized dates. Flavor confirms the c-hop presence. A touch of oxidized caramel dates, candied apples and balancing Munich complexity aid the show. Rustic cotton steel meets citrus hop shines. Tangerines get heeled and spread on mandarin buttered baguettes. Orange candy crusted wheat flakes support the ample carbonation throughout. Bitter sweet orange toffee wraps everything up in a bow. Jan 1, 2008 can...thanks to incutrav for this one...poured a murky caramel brown with a decent sized off-white head....the nose of this reminded me of a ipa actually which was surprising and well welcomed. very big flowery hop aroma that jumps out of the glass....flavors of hops, malt, and also some soft peppery spice notes. it finishes off with some grapefruit bitterness......an admirable oktoberfest beer that i woud gladly have again.

Dec 31, 2007 16oz can. thanks pantanap for sharing. pours red with white head. nose is fresh, bready and hoppy. flavor is bready, hoppy, and piney. good body and carbonation. a solid oktoberfest brew that i look forward to trying a bit fresher next year.
