Bottled #362. A hazy deep red beer with a thin lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of fresh fruit, cranberries, wood, roasted malt, and over ripe fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of dusty hops, over ripe fruits as well as lighter notes of cranberries, alcohol, and chocolate. There is a slight tartness in the finish. Thanks Shaun for sharing.

(Draught) Pours a murky dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of toasted marshmallow, cranberry, and toffee. Flavor of cranberry, rye bread, molasses, cocoa, and roasted malt with a dry finish from the cranberry.

Big thanks to footbalm for answering my call out for this one. 750ml bottle marked on the back ’163’. Poured a dark black color with an averaged sized off white head. There was also a reddish tint to it. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, lighter cranberries, roast, and cherries. Tastes of chocolate, the same light cranberries, vanilla, and roast. Lighter sweet start with a light tart finish. Alcohol content well hidden. A very drinkable and refreshing beer.

From the tap and served in a snifter: Good looking, a deep mahogany body with a dense tan head that hung around for the duration. The aroma was tart with a fruitiness that I didn’t readily identify as cranberry (although I drink the juice at least once a day), had some roasty malts, and a woody/fruit stone bitterness. The bitterness intensified somewhat during the drinking, but so did the fruity funkiness and now smoky malt flavors. It finished on a bitter, sour note, somewhat dry. Good stuff.

thanks for sharing, iowaherkeye. The body is nearly black with a light khaki head. The aroma is like cherry cough syrup with some almonds. There is a strange light milk chocolate note. The taste has some light tart cherries with some milk chocolate. The body is lightly carbonated with some light fruit in the finish.
