MPA (423), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Hazy reddish-brown with a nice off white head. Aroma of apples and grape along with a fruity sweetness and some malt ditto. Flavour is initially slightly sour with notes of apple, but then becomes sweet and more malty with spices showing themselves and ending in a dry lemonish bitterness. Gets better with every sip, so this is a beer that deserves more than a just a quick 3 mouthfull rating. Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 6, 2008 Bottled. A slightly hazy dark-amber with traces of brown in it with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fresh apples mixing in with notes of wheat, making it a very refreshing aroma - reminding me of spring. The flavor is sweet with apples hitting first with the slight acidity of a fresh green apple - or a medium cider, then comes the malt and wheat and gives it some body, before the refreshing acidity comes back. The finish is dry and wheaty with a slight note of the apples lingering. MiP (4951), Flensburg, Germany Feb 14, 2008 Bottle, 6.5%. Hazy orange/brown colour, looks thick when poured. Small head. Acidic aroma with a hint of green apple. The flavour is quite acidic, cidery with some apple juice and wild yeast notes. Some sweetness to balance. Strange and perhaps infected, but not bad. charlotte (1177), Vanløse, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 Bought at Nørrebro Br.Hazy brown colour with small head.Taste of sour appels and vinegar, feels more like cider a really bad taste. Theis (2039), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 15, 2007 Bottle at NB (Launchday). Unclear dark amber – nice tight light amber head.
Apple, sweetness, light dusty, salt and vinegar (sour/bitter – almost like lambic acid, but very nice and delicious).
