bogdi1 (32), Helsinki, Finland May 16, 2007 Beautiful hazy orange/amber colour, fairly sour & crisp aroma with apples. Actually quite "Orvallish", aroma with Brett. Somewhat astringent, sour flavor with apples and what fits well, cinnamon. Ciderish but also some sweetness from the malts. Interesting and in my opinion good hybrid beer. Thanks a lot Jan! MPA (425), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Hazy reddish-brown with a nice off white head. Aroma of apples and grape along with a fruity sweetness and some malt ditto. Flavour is initially slightly sour with notes of apple, but then becomes sweet and more malty with spices showing themselves and ending in a dry lemonish bitterness. Gets better with every sip, so this is a beer that deserves more than a just a quick 3 mouthfull rating. thewolf (4143), Kolding, Denmark Jul 15, 2007 Updated: Jul 19, 2007Bottle, 50cl @ YNWA. A hazy deep orange-brown. A small fizzy off white head that turns into a thin film. Aroma has a clear sweet apple presence. Mouthfeel is nice and full, neither oily nor creamy, but still full - and quite high in carbonation. Flavour has apples (both the sweetness and the sourness). Lightly spicy with a touch of cinnamon. Feels like a mix between a cider and a beer. Or as unfiltered apple juice with alcohol. As such, it’s not half bad. gunnfryd (2834), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 11, 2007 Bottle.
