Nov 20, 2009 Bottle at EsBF09. Mild malty aroma, seems a bit buttery. Hazy dark brown colour, red shine. Almost no head. Good sweet flavour, slightly medicinal, but in the good way. Very malty, slightly spicy, but not in the usual Christmassy, cookie-like way.

Nov 15, 2009 It’s unclear, red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma is mild with notes of butterscotch, spice and fruit. The flavor is sweet and fruity with notes of both fresh and dried fruits, caramel, Christmas spice, but in a nicely subdued way. It’s a very interesting interpretation of a trippel, it’s very well balanced and all notes melt together in a very pleasant way.

Nov 13, 2009 Draft. A dark chestnut brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has strong notes of spices - among them cardemomme, as well as notes of malt, caramel, herbs, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, over ripe fruits, herbs, and some spices, leading to a bitter spicy finish.
