A red beer with a fine and lasting head. The aroma is slightly fruity and sweet. The flavor is round, soft, malty and with a clear taste of the mash - you can almost taste the grainstraws. A really good beer - but very much like their Mørk Guld.

(Bottle 50 cl) Vintage 2001 at 6,2% ABV. Very pretty, deep amber - close to mahogany actually. Fine but collapsing head. Very carbonated - too carbonated. Lovely malty body, dry with a hint of acidity. A bit more body and sweetness would be greatly appreciated. 311201

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, slight yeasty spiced. Flavour is primarily caramel sweet but has some herbaland spiced yeast notes. There is a minor metallic note to the flavour. Ends soft caramel malty, slight warming and very pleasant. Great Christmas brew.

Bottled. Mahogany coloured with rich head. Aroma of burnt sugar. Sweet and malty with gentle, creamy nouthfeel. Flowery hoppiness and good late bitterness. A really well balanced beer!

Bottle. Yeasty aroma, a little malt, perhaps some brown sugar. Hazy brown colour, small head. The flavour is yeasty with a good, sweet aroma hop. Finishes with an OK bitterness to balance.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is very sweet malty with vegetably hints. Flavour is sweet malty with some caramellish hints. Kind of boring compared to many of the others this evening.

2004-edition. Reddish colour with a beige head. Spicy aroma with notes of liquorice and hops. Malty flavor with well balanced bitterness but unfortunately with notes of butter (infection).
