500ml bottle (Copenhagen) gift from Dr Space - thanks!
Sweet fruity caramelly malt aroma. Deep orange, small mouldy head. Pleasant carbonation, smooth palate. Very caramelly bias to the malt body, and sweet fruity hops. Finish tingles nicely with bitterness. Perhaps over-sweet, but not sickly. Some cocoa and other spices too in places. Covers the 5.7% easily. Very tasty new-world-hop reinterpretation of the dunkel style.

Clear golden color with a thick beige head. Good lacing. Aroma: Hops, fruity yeast, caramel. Taste: Bitter hops, caramel, spices, sugar. Pretty good beer. Christmassy but not too christmassy.

28-NOV-2009, bottle @home. "Rød Jul". Nice reddish/orange colour with low almost white head. Like most Svaneke it is quite uniteresting.

Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing white fluffy head. Clear red brown body. Sweet berries caramel aroma. Cinnamon pepper coraiander caramel flavor with low carbonation and a long spicy bitter aftertaste.

clear pale amber or dark orange, smooth large offwhite head. very nice floral medium to strong hoppy aroma, faint caramel, citrussy notes too. quite fresh. hopped enough to make it interesting. flavor is mildly bitter, floral hoppy, faint malty sweet, a little bit boring, but somewhat more bitter and hoppy than your average english beer, which it resembles. flavor indicates craftmanship to me. Nice bitter one.

Bottle, 5.7%. Clear red brown colour. Big semi-stable off-white head. The flavour is caramelly with a good bitterness. The bitterness is distinct, but pleasant. Mild grassy hop flavour.
