Coffee black head that dissipated quickly, color was very dark.Sweet malty coffee aroma slight spice hint as well.Smooth sweet malt lite decaf.coffee flavor.A slight chalky feel on the tongue that isn't unpleasant but is diffrent.I'm trying to detect the chocolate like the desc.say's there is but either i'm missing it or it is a very mellow lite chocolate.ahhhh there it is in the after taste still it's pretty lite. This brew finish's pretty mellow.I guess the experience would be better with the oysters.Never the less it's not a bad stout

A black beer with a dark brown head - that disappears extremely fast (the fastest I've seen). Second to none aroma - slight hints of smoke. The flavor is strictly opposite. It's smooth with powerful notes of tar, smoke, and rope to start of, then a little thin in the middle (for a stout), but it ends on a smoked dry bitterness. A great stout.

nice dark colour, with a frothy head that dissipated quickly. nose of chocolate, coffe and heavily roasted malt. flavours mirror the aroma with a vinous note. mouthfeel was light for an otherwise asertive stout.

Dark black. Came across opaque in my 20 oz pint glass. Head is wimpy and doesn't last. The flavor and aroma are mild, slightly sweet, some chocolate, very low coffee/burnt flavors. There's an odd flavor underneath that meshes with the fruitiness. I can't really describe it. I don't know if this is one of the Oyster Stouts that uses the actualy oyster juice or oyster shells, but if it is, that may be where that flavor comes from. I'd have liked a chunkier stout. Mouthfeel has a touch of chalkiness.

This is a lightly carbonated, jet black stout w/ a slightly sweet flavor. It's an easy drinker. As described, it has chocoloate undertones which are very nice

Wonderful aroma, sweet with maple. Dark like black coffee with no head. Taste was a little disappointing after smelling the aroma. Flavor was more subdued and watery than I expected. Not bad but I think it needs a food partner.

Black with a small head. Looks very bubbly in the glass, but there is not much carbonation. Chocolate and roast aroma and flavor. Pretty thin and light bodied. But very smooth and drinkable. Has a coffee like finish.

Disappointing pour with virtually no head formation, and also little carbonation on the palate. Oily roasted malt aroma. Fruity well roasted flavor, slightly pastey at the front. Dark chocolate, dry finish, but no real bitterness.
