I was pleased that I can actually taste oyster in it, along with typical stout flavors. Refreshing, but the elements aren’t brought together very well. harrisoni (6802), Ashford, Kent, England

It’s got a sweet yeroasty malt aroma with dark chocolate lurking in the distance. Smooth almost to the point of being wartery, it’s got a nice mildly sweet flavor with roasted barley, dark chocolate, and light coffee. Mildly dry finish. Enjoyable.

Rather sweet buttery and malty aroma with coffee notes. Sweet flavor with some nice fruity notes and a good roasted tone. Some coffee, orange and citrus present as well. Dry finish. Not the fullest stout but tasty and easy. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2005 As the Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival wasn’t open all afternoon, this was one of the beers I missed out on through lack of time. So I was very pleased to wander into the Queens Head just down the road and find this on handpump. Lets get the criticism out of the way first. It’s not the fullest bodied stout, a little watery if anything. Apart from that, I thought this was a pretty decent stout with a pronounced coffee aroma. Plenty of smoky malt and chocolate in the flavour. Decent stuff. \Not sure I’d have had this down as a sweet stout though.
