Dark brown almost black. Thin brown head. Mildly roasty, chocolaty aroma. Medium-full, wet body. Sweet, slightly sour, somewhat roasty flavour of chocolate & espresso. Didn't really pick up any oysters.

This beer was sampled due to the kind grace of beerguy101! This beer poured a nutty brown color with a few hints of red in the light. There was little head presence, though slight tan froth islands clung to the glass. The aroma was deep coffee, chocolate, cocoa seeds, and a woody vanilla combination that made it seem very rich and sweet. The taste is heavily carbonated..very rich cocoa seeds dominate. A very nice, dry, malty and sweet stout..more of that woodiness comes through in the taste. Heavy chocolates and cocoa's yet again! Sligt hints of cherry near the finish. A very pleasant stout.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Slikwily and Rastacouere. Black, totally opaque, slightly thinnish pour, large quick-dying tan head. Lovely prune-smoky nose. Prune/raisin flavors strong in the flavor profile also. Sweet and vinous, fairly flat, and a bit thin. Not bad, but not I think at its best.

Wonderful roasty-smoky aroma and flavor. Unfortunately I think I have an old bottle because it's dead flat. Would like to have a good bottle again.

Black color, light head and lacing. Aroma is lightly chocolatey and coffeeish, basic stout here. Flavor is watery and bland, not much complexities but present nonetheless. A basic stout, where are the oysters?!

Pours fairly dark brown with dark ruby edges. When poured there was a huge tannish head, but that left fairly quickly. Roast malts in the nose along with some chocolate and coffee aromas. A slight bitterness of hops detected as well. Again, chocolate and roast malts, some hops, and still a bit of coffee. All of this has an underlying smokiness to it. Palate is thin and body is a bit watery, and the finish is of bitter hops. Nothing really stands out about this stout. Though good, it's a bit weak in the palate.

Black as night. Very little head present even doing a direct pour into the glass. Aroma is mainly coffee. Flavor is a bit flat with some bitter coffee notes. It tastes like a cold cup of coffee. This is the Calista Flockhart of stouts. Its WAY too thin. I was not impressed with this.

Dark black color. Medium head. Aroma is chocolate. A medium bodied sweet stout. Malts are chocolate and coffee. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced. Coffee and chocolate with a touch of vanilla. Smooth and mellow. Very easy drinking stout. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is dry and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
