From bottle : Pours a clear carbonated medium gold color, with a finger of white foamy head, with nice lacing. My nose is a tad bit stuffy right now, but i can still smell tons of big citrus hops coming out of this thing. Some malt backbone. Taste is nice, hoppy with a balance of malt. It gets a little thin a watery toward the end, that would be my only complaint. Medium body through the first part, with a sticky palate, and a faint hop aftertaste. Decent APA.

Tap at ATL airport brewpub. Pours copper with moderate tan head, lacing. Aroma is passionfruit, pine, light toffee, overall quite pungent. There is a bit of herbal-type skunkiness – my gf said maybe that’s why it’s 420. Flavor is sticky caramel maltiness, lightly sweet fruitiness, piney resin. Moderate lingering bitterness and pine needle flavor in the finish. Palate is creamy, lightly oily.

This is by far one of the better american pale ales out there. I had two in Georgia and i was impressed. The aftertaste was mute and made it a very session-able beer.

12 oz bottle: This one pours a fairly clear , amber color. There was some white head and lacing to it. The aroma is quite good. Mainly citrus hops, with a few floral notes tossed in there also. The taste is quite good. Just enough bitterness with a good malt body. Very smooth drinking. A very well balanced Pale Ale, and a fine example of the style.

Pours hazy copper with a one finger, quickly dissipating, white head. Some sticky lacing. Subdued nose of citrus, and fresh greenery. Not the hop profile I was hoping for. Flavor is a lightly sweet orange-apricot, bready, with a slight touch of hiding bitterness. The flavor is smooth, clean and crisp. The overall palate is good...but would be better if the flavors were more pronounced and the IBU’s were a lot higher.

On-tap at the brewpub in Atlanta. Creamy soapy head on a light grapefruit colour. Hoppy and cramy maltiness, and good lace. Freshness.

May 2006 - Thanks to eaglefan538 for ticking another state off my list. Beer poured crystal clear light yellowish color with little head and lacing. My first taste impression was a citrusy lemon taste. As it warmed, though, a touch of caramel and some bready malt flavors also came forth. The mouthfeel was really smooth and although mildly hoppy, the bitterness wasn’t really there. This is one super drinkable beer...the mouthfeel was really the highlight.
