| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 16, 2008 bottle thanks to jrob_21. clear light amber color, and a neutrally-fermented aroma of pale malt and west coast hops. not what i would consider bitingly hoppy but certainly nicely bitter. somewhat softer in the body than in the aroma; clean and hoppy with a mild woody aftertaste that’s neither sweet nor dry. thanks jonathan! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 16, 2008 Draught, Atlanta Georgia Airport, what a treat from a long flight! Poured into a pint glass with clear amber colour and small white head. Nose of floral hops that are vibrant with touches of caramel and fruits. Initial is of grapefruit hops with a small splash of sweet malts. Mid palate is earthy. Finishing with a bitter hops and mild grassiness. Medium Body. Good head retention and lacing of the glass. Enjoyable! brigg (216), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 12, 2008 (bottle) Big, creamy head, and clear amber body. Clean, very floral hop aroma with an underlying malt and sweet fruit. Medium bodied and slightly sticky or oily. Flavor is sweet but refreshing up front, then the dry hops surface with a bitter finish and aftertaste. Some citrus, earthy (wood, grass) notes present as well. garza (132), Caracas, Venezuela
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2008 Very good beer. A lot of taste, good body and palate. Still refreshing and it is not heavy at all. You can have several of this one if you get hooked. I had this one on draft. Recommended jlf278 (255), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 29, 2007 On tap during a layover in atlanta. This was a pleasant surprise reminding me of sierra nevada harvest ale. Unfortunately mine was served in a frosted mug practically as an ice cube. What I did manage to glean from this illfated encounter may be misrepresentative of the pale ale’s true being. I for one, would like to revisit at first chance. maltdog (515), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Bottle opens with a faint hiss, and mere cirrus wisps of foam top the deep straw/pale orange beer. Mild caramel and cookiedough aromas, plus toasty granola and DMS. A suggestion of floral/honey sweetness transitions into minerally springwater flavor and a dash of lemon and crabapple. Palate is watery yet creamy. Mildly bitter, cornflake, earthy, chalky aftertaste. Although a fairly bland lawnmower ale, probably still too assertive for BMC-drinking babies. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Draught into shaker. Amber colour with a rather timid hop aroma. Flavour was also very light on the hops for an APA. Good but not great.
