Jul 16, 2007 Draught. Pours light amber with a white head. A good hop bouquet in the the aroma, as well as some caramel. flavor is exactly the same. Nice balance, and good use of hops.

Jul 14, 2007 I think what truly sets 420 apart from its cousing the Sweetwater IPA is that it is smooth. As someone who suffers from an acidic stomach from time-to-time, I find 420 easier to take in. Even with that aside I find the beer in the top tier for its style.

Jul 13, 2007 Bottle. Drank this at my Dad’s camp. Didn’t put into a glass because we were going golfing on Dad’s course, but it was a pretty solid IPA. Nice hop bite and a bit of residual sweetness. Nothing earthshattering, but certainly a solid brew, even if those crazy bastards in Georgia made it!

Jul 8, 2007 Updated: Sep 8, 2007420 is a solid APA... not the best by far, but a very drinkable beer. This is Sweetwater’s most popular beer, but their IPA is much better! 420 has a golden color, hardly any head to it, but is very pleasurable to drink.

Jul 6, 2007 It is extra pale - light tan and crystal clear. Head is small and doesn’t stick around. Pleasant hoppy aroma - more floral than citrus. Smooth, crisp finish. Light body. I’d prefer a little more malt backbone. A crisp and refreshing PA, but not a great one. Terrapin Rye is definately the pale ale king of GA.

Jun 26, 2007 Great drinking beer. Reward yourself with a frost mug sensation. Pure Bliss. Go to Mellow Mushroom and enjoy a draft. Best local beer hands down.

Jun 25, 2007 Had plenty of this in both bottle and on draft during a recent vacation in Panama City (a virtual beer desert). Pours a muted amber with a firm white cap. Lots of citrusy and perfume hops in the nose are well balanced. A fantastic caramel back cradles the hops in the body, both in perfect harmony. This isn’t a hop bomb or a malt monster. It is a perfectly balanced session beer that I would drink again and again. Fantastic example of an APA.
