Sixpack brought back to me from Atlanta by a friend at work who loves this beer. By some bizarre coincidence this is rating number 421 for me. Pours golden with a white head and pleasant hoppy aroma. The flavor is smooth and clean American Pale Ale. Not overdone in any respect. Mild and soft but with just enough flavor and hop character and bitterness to make it respectable as a craft beer, and yet way too drinkable as a session beer. This is a beer that you already know you want another long before you reach the bottom of the glass. Its easy to see why my friend, who is not a beer geek, likes this so much. I could see drinking a lot of this if it were available in this area. Not the best APA I’ve had, but by far the easiest drinking session beer I’ve had in a long time.

This is a pale ale? Citrusy hops in the nose, an attractive golden brew with a light, pale head. Primarily tastes of crisp water with a very, very faint citrusy hop finish. Crisp, refreshing, and boring as a dog’s ass.

A decent pale ale, nothing special. Just a solid beer wiht almost enough of all the right ingredients. It just leaves you wanting for more.

Another one from decaturstevo... Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale Ale is golden yellow in color and quite clear - a very attractive looking beer! There is a moderate amount of visible carbonation with a sustained small white head/crown. The aroma is a sugary sweet with a floral honey quality to it. The flavor is reminiscent of slightly caramelized Goldenrod honey with a moderate bitterness (floral/resin hop-flavored mixture). This beer is light, crisp, clean, smooth, and well balanced overall. I really enjoyed it. I would add this to my list of great session beers and would buy it regularly if it were actually available in my area... 12 oz bottle, "Best if enjoyed by: Month 8, Week 4" - Year 2006?

Draft. Citrusy noise with a bitterness at first taste but leaves a sweet honey finish...hense the name.

This is one of my favorite standard pale ales. Good balance, right hoppiness, fun to drink.

My go-to beer when I’m home in Atlanta. Nice yellow amber color, citrus hops in the nose. A little sweet and lacking bitterness for an APA, very strong malt though and a little citrus hops at the finish.

On draught at multiple locations, including direct at brewery, and in 12 oz. bottle. Absolutely my session ale here, although they have seemingly tweaked their formula recently to include some wheat malt. Pours a nice clear golden amber with thick white crown. Not great crown retention but spotty lacing. Aroma is full of herbal and floral hop notes and a good bit of malt. Light citrus tones also detected but very weak. Flavour is lightly hoppy at first and finishing crisply and cleanly. A strong malt backbone can be tasted throughout the drink. Palate is a little lighter than medium-bodied with a lingering hop essence on the tongue after the finish. Pretty decent overall and always a good standard selection in Atlanta.
