I bought this on a trip to Chattanooga and it was dated best before august, 2007. It had a very clean golden yellow color with a flimsy white head. The head was seriously pathetic and makes me wonder if it wasn’t the glass that was the problem. The smell was lemony and reminded me of iced tea. It is uncanny how much this smells like iced tea, different than most pale ales. The taste is a little herbal hops up front with a macro lager-like finish. There are some bready malts hanging around but the lemony, herbal hops are front and center. The mouthfeel is sort of thick and full. Carbonation seems just right. This would be a very good barbeque/picnic/keg party beer and I would probably purchase this if it were available in Denver. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-11-2007 15:09:49

Draft at Bull McCabes. Brilliantly clear orange hue with white head. Light citrus and honey in the nose. Flavor is light fruits with a modest malt body and lightly bitter pine hops. Crisp and clean with no alcohol heat. A decently bitter session pale ale with a hint of sweet citrus. Doesn’t quite fit the west coast style in terms of hops (as described), but still in the (Durham Bulls) ballpark.

Draft at Wild Wing in Winston-Salem. Clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is floral hops, citrus, grain, and pale malt. Flavor is pale malt, slight grain, and citrus/floral hops. Pretty muted overall but not bad. Crisp and dry on the finish with light body.

almost clear light amber in color with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel/light crystal malt, a touch of citrus and floral hops. Taste is light to moderately grainy with some caramel, light floral hops, bitterness is mild for a pale ale. Easy drinking, light body. Thanks Ethan.

I liked this Pale Ale. It impressed me more than their IPA. Not a bad beer for a summer barbecue. I would recommend it, but I am a fan of Pale Ales. Samuel Adams Pale Ale was a little better.

Tried this while visiting FSU for an audition, but didn’t take good tasting notes. Now that I ended up coming to FSU, maybe I’ll try it again.

Salty, straw-flavoured brew with a golden tone in the glass. Body was mild with heavy carbonation. Finssh was crsip and dry. Although this had some good points, I could not get overly excited about this one.
